EMC builds a range of enterprise storage products, including high-capacity/high-availability data storage units, data access/data storage software that provides for load-balancing, data path management, and storage management, and provides software solutions and professional services.

Responsibilities:

Ø Provide support to production, development, QA and staging databases.

Ø Developed packages to implement fallback logic in database using bitmap implementation.

Ø Experience working in RAC environment.

Ø Developed PL SQL packages to pull data from Documentum database to Site Cache database and apply fallback using bitmap approach.

Ø Extensively used the advanced features of PL/SQL like varrays, Records, Tables, Object types and Dynamic SQL .

Ø Developed pl sql packages to generate sql queries dynamically by accepting input parameters.

Ø Responsible for configuring and maintaining several database jobs using DBMS_JOB.

Ø Preformed database full refresh in different environments whenever required.

Ø Used features like global temporary table to implement resource library.

Ø Optimized daily database jobs running by generating statistics, creating indexes, SQL, PL-SQL code tuning, using hints, Explain Plan.

Ø Involved in DR environment setup and performed failover and switchover testing.

Ø Worked on grid control and monitored database performance during critical hours and resolved performance issues.

Ø Responsible for EDP to ISV database migration.

Ø Responsible for performance tuning, monitoring system health.

Ø Developed various scripts in order to schedule backups using data pump.

Ø Optimizing database performance by analyzing database objectsandawr etc.

Ø Developed shell scripts to automate the processing jobs and for manipulating the data extracted from the shell scripts.

Ø Created Schema objects (tables, indexes, views, triggers, sequences, synonyms, roles, packages).
