The police got information about a group of unknown masked men who had beaten several passers-by on Lev Tolstoy Street, people also heard shots.
The Kiev police told Interfax-Ukraine news agency that about 13:20 on Friday somebody called 112 and said that a group of unknown masked men had beaten several passers-by when heading for an office building on Lev Tolstoy Street 23/1.
The news agency managed to find out that the conflict burst out because of the cellar which is said to be a property of a district deputy. The eye-witnesses said that the conflict between residents of the house and the deputy happened on the grounds of property owning. Then 10 men with the emblems of the Right Sector arrived. They are claimed to have machine guns on them. These men beat three residents of the house and, when the police arrived, barricaded themselves in the cellar. They were released by Sergei Pashinsky, the Ukrainian interim presidential chief of staff, who came personally. He held talks with the Self-defense group and thereafter the men with the Right Sector emblems left the building without laying the arms down and escaped in an unknown direction.
