On March 21, passengers of train 65 Moscow-Kishinev were feared of people in the uniform of the Ukrainian Rebel Army who came into the carriages and started to ‘check documents’ when the train stopped at the Vinnytsia railway station. At the same time passengers who produced Russian passports were forced to hand over money and gold jewelries. Simultaneously with the robbery the men addressed to the passengers with ‘political educational’ speeches. Surprisingly, the attempt to apply to police failed. They refused to register the complaints,’ the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports on March 24.
The Ukrainian authorities refute the Russian Ministry’s information.
‘The comments of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are astonishing at least, as they present the situation upside down. It’s an unconcealed misinformation. If the diplomats think that a police squad in uniform with identification markings is the Ukrainian Rebel Army, I have no comment,’ the UNIAN quotes Evgeny Perebynis, the director of the informational policy department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The UNIAN reports that the police are investigating the theft of money from a passenger in the Moscow-Kishinev train. The police told the UNIAN that theygot a signal about a money theft from a female passenger who was going to funeral and got out of the train in Zhmerynka station.
‘Because of the signal about the theft, at the Vinnytsia station three policemen working in the Criminal Investigation Department entered the carriage where the woman travelled so that she had no need to get out and could go further to her destination point. They questioned her and filled in all the procedural documents while the train moved from Vinnytsia to Zhmerynka where she got out,’ the press-service of the Ministry told the UNIAN.
The UNIAN also specifies that in the Ministry they stressed that fact that the victim did not notice the loss of money at once. ‘It was an ordinary theft, not a robbery,’ say they in the Ministry and add that a legal case has been launched.

Another Euromaidan activist died, his son blames the political enemies. Mirgorod, 26.03.2014
A well-known public figure, a Euromaidan activist, a tireless fighter for the truth and the former mayor of Mirgorod Vasiliy Tretetskiy died in hospital having lost 4 liters of blood after a brutal criminal attack and having spent 9 days in an intensive care center. It is reported by the news agency “Facty”.
The head of the local Narodna Rada (People’s Council) was attacked in the street on March 16. Four unknown people began to beat him, they tried to get him into a black car and kidnap. Lying on the pavement Tretetskiy was fighting back the best he could - then one of the attackers shot his leg with a gun.
Before the arrival of the Ambulance the former mayor of Mirgorod lost much blood because of the indifference of the passers-by who did not provide him the first aid. Therefore the doctors who were fighting for his life for 9 days did not manage to save him.
Vasiliy Tretetskiy was 58 years old. From 1994 to 2000 he was the mayor of Mirgorod and headed the Association of Poltava Region Towns. In 2005–2007 he was the deputy chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
“Today we should forgive each other the things that did not give us the opportunity to smile to each other and offer hand. If we manage to do it we will protect not only the country, we will protect each other. Especially today, when support is so important. Long live each of us, long live Ukraine!”- the dead man used to say.
Vasiliy Tretetskiy was an active participant and a coordinator of Mirgorod Euromaidan. Lately he had been more engaged in social activities, had no own business. That is why his son is convinced - his father was killed for the uncompromising Euromaidan activity.
"This attack, that is an intended contract murder, attempted premeditated murder. Unfortunately yesterday my father died, it is obviously connected with his political and social activities. As father headed the Maidan Narodna Rada and the attack occurred 50 minutes before the people’s Veche at which it was planned to raise the lustration issue”, - Sergey Tretetskiy, the son of the deceased says.
Poltava journalists are of the same opinion. They say: the dead man defended lustration at the local level actively and uncovered corruption schemes.
On the attack a criminal case was initiated under the article “Assault to Murder”. At the same time the police have not established the identity of the attackers yet despite the fact that at the shooting one had no mask.
“Actually we have a clear picture of the crime. And I think that very soon the investigation will come to its expected end and to the criminal apprehension. And what else should be said, if the investigation is not finished”- the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov says.
For the current Minister of Internal Affairs the Euromaidan activist’s death is also a personal tragedy, as Tretetskiy and Avakov were close friends and worked in Kharkov together.
