C.We use the present simple to refer to the future in clauses of time after –when – while – as soon as – after – before - and condition after – if - until – unless – provided – as long as - :

D.We use – when – for things which are sure to happen:

E. - In case –is not the same as – if - . We use – in case – to say why somebody does something. You do something now in case something happens later:
Compare:
▪ We’ll buy some more food in case Tom comes. (Perhaps Tom will come, we’ll buy some more food now)
▪ We’ll buy some more food ifTom comes. (Perhaps Tom will come; if he comes we’ll buy some more food; if he doesn’t come, we won’t buy any more food.)

G.There are several ways of talking about the future.
1) We use the present simple to talk about future events which are part of a fixed timetable or fixed programme:

▪ The film startsat 7.30 and finishes at 9.00.
2) The Present Continuous is used when speaking about something that has been arranged to happen:

3) – be going to –is used when one says what one intends to do in the future:
▪ Areyou going to watch the ten o’clock news?
▪ I am going to phone Eve.
4) The Future Simpleis used when a) one decides to do something at the time of speaking:
▪ There are no train tickets for Murmansk. So I’ll fly.
b) when offering to do something:
▪ The shops are far from here. I’ll drive you there.
c) when promising to do something:
▪ I promise. I’ll send you those photographs.
d) when speaking about a future fact, predicting something. When we predict the future we often use – will – with the following verbs and expressions: think / expect / believe / be sure / be afraid / hope:
▪ Visit us next spring, you won’t recognize the place.
▪ I am sure you will enjoy the film.
▪ I expectthey will be here at around 10 o’ clock tomorrow morning.
